Visit of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Archives of Yugoslavia

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Belgrade, H.E. Mahamed Amine Belhaj accompanied with the Embassy Advisor for Culture Mr. Simohamed El Laiti Ben Ayad visited the Archives of Yugoslavia on December 8, 2021. Director of the Archives Dr. Milan Terzić hosted the delegation, Ranka Rađenović Archival Advisor participated in conversation.

Since during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Selaković to the Kingdom of Morocco in May this year on the occasion of 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries, it was agreed for the year of 2022 to be proclaimed for the "year of Serbia in Morocco" as well as "Year of morocco in Serbia" and will be marked by series of events, the aim of Mr. Ambassador's visit to the Archives was to propose several events that will be held in Belgrade. Namely, it is the matter of visit of the Director of the National Archives of the Kingdom of Morocco to Belgrade in order to sign prepared Memorandum of Cooperation  with the Archives of Yugoslavia(text of Memorandum is prepared in three languages – Serbia, English and Arabic), exchange digital copies of documents, present and open  the exhibition of diplomatic documents presenting diplomatic relation of two countries,  not only in Morocco but also in Belgrade, as well as promotion of Collected Documents on the relations between two countries that the Archives of Yugoslavia have been prepared and it will be completed by the end of this year. Definitive agreement regarding above mentioned will be reached after consultations of Mr. Terzić   with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia as well as with the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Morocco.
